What we want!

Democratic constitutions are currently based on common basic values that look like this:

  • Free elections
  • Pluralistic party system
  • Separation of powers
  • A principle of majority or consensus
  • Acceptance of an opposition
  • Protection of fundamental and civil rights
  • Protection of minorities
  • Compliance with human rights
  • A constitutional order
  • Freedom of expression and the press

These ten points on which living together in democratic systems is based have brought us far. Only they are hundreds of years old and it is high time to finally expand them by what is possible today. With the Hammer.Solutions concept, we no longer focus on the lowest common denominator, but on the greatest common benefit. We therefore call for five points to be added to the basic values of our democratic constitutions:

  • Universal basic income
  • Sustainability
  • Contemporary education
  • Strict separation of state and religion
  • Free access to information

The purpose of democratic constitutions has always been to limit the powers of future governments in order to give the people the greatest possible freedom. At the moment politicians and therefore lobbyists still have too much power over us. That is why it is important now to create the basis for a policy that is not about power, but about the good of all of us.

The everyday conflicts about what is going wrong in current politics bring nothing, since everything politically feasible in the current context only means a cosmetic improvement. In order to finally end this division of society, we want to fundamentally renew the basis of our living together with our simple demand. Because we are convinced that a beautiful and long-term stable world is feasible. A world in which poverty, war, the destruction of our homes and mass exodus are a thing of the past.
